Eagles goals are to unite fraternally for mutual benefits, protection, improvement, social enjoyment and association, all persons of good moral character who believe in a Supreme Being to inculcate the principles of liberty, truth, justice and equality, and to perpetuate a fraternal organization and to provide for it's government as its Constitution Laws, Rituals, By-Laws, or other rules and Regulations may from time to time provide, and to promote the general welfare, The Fraternal Order of Eagles ordains this constution. The Fraternal Order of Eagles was founded in Seattle, Washington in February of 1898. Our Order was founded by a small group of six theater owners. The first meeting was said held in a Seattle Waterfront shipyard. The American Bald Eagle was picked as our symbol to be unlike the many fraternities of the time. The Eagles welcomed the average man as a member, and fought steadfastly for his right to a life of self-respect and dignity.

The Fraternal Order of Eagles may have accepted members which were called, just the average man. However, the Eagles were anything but average. The early Eagle crusades won basic rights for all concerned. Among these early rights earned were:
